



New casks waiting to be steamed.
Trussing. After the cask has been steamed for 40 minutes in the steam bell, the cask is bent by the wooden hoops
(called Truss Hoops).


Dressing out (or making the insides smooth), this is very important on beer casks.

Finished casks.
The left hand side is a new firkin made from the finest quality quartered English oak; the right hand side is a remade firkin made from 60 – 100 year whisky puncheons (110 gallon cask) complete with new English oak heads.
